Cyprus Weddings - Home to the Goddess of Love!

Where better to get married than the birthplace of the Goddess of love, Aphrodite. With its beautiful scenery and all year round sunny weather, Cyprus provides a wonderful destination to “tie the knot”.  As with any country there are certain rules and procedure you need to follow in order to get married in Cyprus.

• You must have arrived in Cyprus three working days before the ceremony. This used to be 2 weeks

• You need a full and valid ten year passport which has more than six months until it expires. Ensure you have photocopies of the personal information pages of your passport

• You need to prove that you are both single. An affidavit stating that you are either single, divorced, or widowed and that you intend to marry in Cyprus is required with the following additional information signed and stamped by a UK solicitor...

There are many venues to choose from around the island whether your looking for a Church or Civil wedding.  Speak to the local Municipality (Town Hall) in the area your looking to get married and they will be able to give you some information on Wedding Venues in the area.
